June 14th Meeting

GAA will be having our regular general assembly meeting June 14th, 6pm @ the Runway Cafe, please join us for our next general meeting for the Greenville Aviators Association.

Guest Speaker – Michael Middleton

Major Michael W. Middleton (USMC Retired) was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico and raised in
Greenville, South Carolina. He graduated from Clemson University in 1994 with a degree in
Language and International Trade (Spanish).

He was commissioned a 2ndLt in May 1994 and completed the Marine Corps Basic School for
Marine Officers followed by Naval Flight Training in Pensacola, FL in 1997 where he was
designated a Naval Aviator.

Major Middleton deployed overseas while being stationed in Hawaii, Florida, California, and Virginia during his Marine Corps career. He served as a pilot, operations officer, battalion air officer, flight instructor, and defense acquisition professional during his assignments. His final assignment was as the Director White House Liaison Office at Marine Helicopter Squadron One (HMX-1) where he served as a Command Pilot and was charged with all coordination for
Presidential helicopter transportation worldwide.

Major Middleton flew several helicopter models including the CH-53 D & E Super Stallion, VH-3D Sea King, VH-60N Blackhawk, and CH-46E Phrog. He was also a fixed wing flight instructor flying the T-34C Turbo Mentor airplane in Pensacola, FL.

Mr. Middleton retired from the Marine Corps and relocated to Greenville, SC with his family. He is President of White Top Aviation, a division of M3 Partners, LLC, in Greenville, SC that provides logistics, technology, aviation, and procurement services to business and government clients.

Major Middleton is married to Mary Middleton, an architect with LS3P in Greenville and they have 2 children.
